Biographical Information: CHARLES OGILVIE MANNING, born 8th April 1901 at Charters Towers, Queensland, died 3rd December 1979 at Toowoomba, Queensland, from emphysema. With his father being killed in 1902 and his mother dying in 1904, he was adopted by neighbours called Ogilvie, for whom he had been named, and dropped the Manning surname (changed officially by deed poll at time of his marriage). Railway station master. Married (2nd October 1924) Thelma Georgina Heath (died c.1954), having three children:-
