Biographical Information: HELENA MARGARET PURVIS (LENA), born 1877 in New South Wales, died 24th November 1956. On her marriage certificate her mother is given as Minnie Amourous. Living (1902) at Cobar, New South Wales. She took her younger sister Mary Marjorie Purvis (Marjorie) (see 1.1.3.1.7.7.10. below) to live with her on her marriage (1902) and following the split up of their parents in 1898. She also minded her granddaughter Elizabeth Raleigh (see 1.1.3.1.7.7.4.2.1. below) for five years after her mother died in childbirth. Married (5th February 1902 at St David's Church of England, Surry Hills, Sydney, New South Wales) Charles Edward Leake (or Leak per marriage registry) (born 1872 at Goodrich, near Molong, New South Wales), postal accountant, son of Henry Sandford Leake (died before 1902), commission agent, and of Margaret Elizabeth McPherson (living in 1902), having six daughters:-
