Biographical Information: WILLIAM LLOYD PURVIS (LLOYD), born 22nd April 1907 at Narromine, New South Wales, died 7th February 1968. In his youth he was a shearer and also carried wheat for his future father-in-law Robert Wilkins. During the depression (1930s) he went to work with New South Wales Railways, living in Narromine, New South Wales. He moved to Sydney in 1946, living under the railway ramps in the workmen's stores at Wentworthville Station, Wentworthville, New South Wales, until their house at Merrylands, New South Wales, was ready. Married (29th June 1933 at Narromine) Lillie Mabel Wilkins (Lill) (born 21st June 1906, died 18th August 2008 aged 102 in Mayflower Nursing Home, Wentworthville (Westmead), New South Wales), living (1995) at Wentworthville, third child and eldest daughter of Robert Shave Wilkins (Bob), who was ninth child of George and Rachel Wilkins and younger brother of Rachel Wilkins who married Charles Lloyd Purvis (see 1.1.3.1.7.11. below), her husband's great-uncle, and of Lillie Emma Chandler, having four children:-
