Previously shearer at Narromine, New South Wales, but moved (1962) to Collaroy, New South Wales, where he was a plant operator, then (1990) to Gosford, New South Wales. Living (2003) in Gladstone, Queensland, and (2009) at Agnes Water, Queensland. Married 1st (c.1959 at Collaroy) Jean Elizabeth Trotter (born 1938, died before 2009), living (1990) in Mona Vale, Sydney, New South Wales, and was divorced (c.1984), having two children:- WILLIAM ROBERT PURVIS (BILL or UNCLE) married 2nd (c.1984/89), as her 2nd husband, Constance Harrison (Connie) (born 14th June 1935 at Worsboro' Bridge, Yorkshire, England), daughter of Thomas Henry Harrison (born 11th August 1902) and Elizabeth Robotham (born c.1904, died 25th July 1981), having no further children.
