Biographical Information: ROBERT BRUCE PURVIS (BRUCE), born 7th February 1905 at Cobar, New South Wales, died 24th May 1981 at Concord Hospital, Sydney, New South Wales. Educated at Newington College, Sydney, he worked in his mother's hotel and as a driver. Served as a sergeant in the Australian Army in North Africa, Palestine and New Guinea, during World War II. Lived at Church Point, Sydney. Married (25th June 1927 at Kensington (Randwick), Sydney) May Agnes Kawelmacher (Maisie) (born 23rd December 1906 at Strathmerton, Victoria, died 4th August 1996 in Sydney), who was living (1989) in a retirement village at Belrose, New South Wales, daughter of Carls James David Kawelmacher and Penelope Morley, having two children:-
