Biographical Information: JOSEPH YOUNG of Dunearn and Greenmount, Burntisland, Fife, Scotland, born c.1823/26 in Kinghorn, Fife, died 17th November 1864, buried in Kirkton Cemetery, Burntisland. Distiller and farmer with William Young & Co. Living (31st March 1851) with his brother William Young Jr (see 1.1.3.4.2.1. above) at Grange Distillery, Burntisland. Probably trustee for Burridge Purvis (see 1.1.3.7. below) under a trust (presumably for Burridge Purvis' widow who died 1861) which owned Glassmount, Kinghorn, from the time of Burridge Purvis' death (c.1816) until it was sold in parts from 1854 to 1861. Unmarried (31st March 1851) when aged 25.
