Annie Josephine (josephine Or Jo) Purvis
Biographical Information: ANNIE JOSEPHINE PURVIS (JOSEPHINE or JO), born 1st September 1861, died 5th March 1881 aged 19 at Kohala (Kapaau-Halaula), Hawaii, Hawaii, where she was governess to the family of Judge C.F. Hart. Buried beside the Foreign (Missionary) Church, Kohala, but her grave was later transferred to Kona, Hawaii. Her family subscribed to a memorial stained glass half window of the Annunciation in St Andrews Anglican Cathedral, Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii (first window left of the altar rail). She lived until 1878 in Bruges, Belgium, (a sampler sewn by her in Bruges in 1872 was (1992) with Victoria Mary Younghusband (see 1.1.3.5.2.1.8.1.2.1. below), her great-great-niece), when the family moved to Hawaii.
