Biographical Information: CHARLES THEODORE GUNNING, Baronet, born 19th June 1935 in Hampstead, London, England. B.Eng., C.Eng., C.I. Mar.E. Lieutenant Commander (retired), Canadian Armed Forces (Navy). Engineering consultant in Ottawa, Ontario, where he previously worked with the Department of National Defence (Submarine engineering). National Chairman for Canada of the Royal Commonwealth Society (1991-93) and President of the Ottowa Branch (198?-91 and 1995-96). Succeeded (1989) his father as 9th Baronet (baronetcy created 1778). Living (2007) in Ottawa. Married 1st (25th June 1969 in Halifax, Nova Scotia), as her 2nd husband (she married 1st ….. Reive, having two children:- 1. William Patrick Penn Reive (Bill), Commander Canadian Navy (2009). 2. Fiona Louise Reive. She married 3rd Gerald Trant, Director of the United Nations Food & Agriculture Organisation in Rome, Italy), Edith Sarah Easton (Sarah) (born 5th June 1940 (? 10th June 1942) in Poonah, India), living (1995) at Arnprior, Ontario, and (2010) in Ottawa, daughter of Colonel Patrick Arthur Easton and Edith Norah Jackson of Tonbridge, Kent, England, and was divorced (1982), having one daughter:- CHARLES THEODORE GUNNING married 2nd (26th May 1989 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada), as her 2nd husband (she married 1st Michael Patrick Martin, and was divorced, having two children:- 1. Kathleen Martin. 2. David Martin), Linda Phillis Kachmar (born 24th October 1945 in Montreal, Province of Quebec), younger daughter of Theodore Kachmar (born 20th February 1899 in the Ukraine, died 8th April 1980 in Montreal) and Mary Sinuita (born 22nd June 1920 in Montreal) who was living (2009) in Montreal, having no further children.
